Despite the stampede in Wowowee and the landslide in Leyte here comes the State of Emergency. But even before all these happened we all know that Filipinos are already facing problems in high prices of gas, food and major living expenses. It is so depressing to watch the Philippine news and to hear all about the calamities that just happened. Living there as a middle class family was already hard so I could not imagine the life of the poor. Yet no matter what anybody say, being a Filipino is something that I am proud of. We may not always see eye to eye when it comes to politics and religion. But yet we fight the same struggle for human rights and to live a better life.
A not so Interesting Life
I used to dread getting older because I thought I would not be able to do all the things I wanted to do, but now that I am older I find that I don't want to do them.
Nancy Astor, interview, 1959
British politician (1879 - 1964)
